As the CEO and founder of the leading children’s brand, Glamajama, Heather Schuck is a well respected and admired mom entrepreneur. Despite her lack of fashion or business experience, she was able to turn her failed eBay hobby into a multi-million dollar company with her uncompromising will, eagerness to learn, and endless determination.

Drawing from her creative experiences growing up in a crafty household, business lessons learned from a brief career in investments, and finally a healthy dose of patience derived from many years working at a psychiatric treatment home Heather launched Glamajama in 2003. Today, the line is sold at hundreds of boutiques throughout the states and overseas with exclusive lines being sold nationally at Target, JCPenney, Sears, BuyBuyBaby, BedBathandBeyond, Amazon, and eBags.

Always an early adopter and believer in the power of community, Heather immersed herself in online outreach such as blogging, social media, and video broadcasts since 2003.  Her strong identification with the mom audience and sincere appreciation for supporters inspired her to launch the mom community website, glamaLIFE.com, in 2010. Glamalife encourages its members to indulge in the glama lifestyle and “embraceLIFE. getINSPIRED. beGLAMA.” As the Editor, she is passionate about communicating with her members on the topics that matter most. Popular segments include the video series Fit & FearLESS Files and ROCK your BiZ for fellow mom entrepreneurs.

As the host of Fit & FearLESS.tv, Heather engages in very un-mom like activities such getting set on fire, swimming with sharks, and driving a NASCAR race car, all in an attempt to prove being a mom isn’t about being doomed to sweatpants, spit up, and spoiled dreams. The weekly adventure series challenges moms to overcome their own fears and launch the business they’ve always dreamed of, take those art classes, or run that triathlon.

ROCK your BiZ is a weekly question and answer segment where Heather mentors mom entrepreneurs on creating their start-up, tackling setbacks, and basics such as sales, marketing, and operations best practices. Heather answers each reader question with comprehensive video response that is then released to the community for all to benefit. The segment has been instrumental in establishing camaraderie among the mom entrepreneurs tuning in.

While Heather feels blessed with her role as mom entrepreneur, she feels her greatest role is being a proud mother. As a full time, stay at home mom to her 9 year old son, 7 year old daughter, and 5 year old son she embodies the concept of a next generation mom who utilizes technology to work smarter, not harder and fulfills her personal aspirations of being a traditional mom while satisfying her professional goals of creating a multimillion dollar company.
