- Mommy Needs Wine? Drink for a Cause
I’m a sucker for a good Pinot Noir. Especially after a long, hard day playing SuperMOM. Early mornings, shuttling kids, work demands, squeezing in a quick workout, whipping up a healthy meal, cuddle time, you know how it goes. Mommy NEEDS wine.
Nothing beats curling up on the couch with a yummy glass of wine to celebrate the little victories of the day. As much as I love wine though, I’m no expert. I take the typical “stroll the grocery aisle, grab what stands out, and hope for the best” approach to wine selection.
Needless to say, I was a bit giddy when Martin Cody of Cellar Angels reached out and offered to send over some Pinots he knew I’d love. Just when I thought it couldn’t get any better, he shared more about his company and their mission. The Cellar Angels Philosophy: “We love wine. We love introducing others to great wine and we love helping others.” Music to my ears!
How It Works
Martin and the team at Cellar Angels hand-select the best wines from small and lesser known wineries throughout the Napa Valley and introduce them to the world. By joining as a free member, you have the option of buying the current offering at a ridiculously low member-only price. Great wine at a great price, it can’t get better than that right? But it can! A portion of the sale goes towards funding a handful of charities they support. The list is here.
What I Love
- I love the feeling that I have a friend explaining all the details of the wine to me, I’m not just “buying alcohol”, I’m getting a valuable education in wine.
- Each wine presented includes information about the family running the winery, complete with a video of them sharing their passions. It feels good to know your purchase helps another family live their dreams. As a small business owner myself, this one hits home.
- Cellar Angels goes the extra mile and even includes a delicious recipe for you to make that perfectly pairs with your wine selection. Gourmet made easy- love it!
Next time mommy needs wine, why not stop by and visit the good-hearted folks at Cellar Angels? You’ll be happy you did! Tell them glama sent ya

Heather,
As a Cellar Angels team member and partner, I really appreciate the thoughtful write-up you shared about the business. I am very lucky to work with such amazing, charity-inspired wine lovers every day!
This is just great. I know there is a craft brewing company in Minnesota that is a non profit and gives a lot of the money the make to charity organizations. I am drawing a blank on their name right now though.
